1. Solder the wires to the points following the diagram. The color of each wire and the color on the diagram go together. Solder the red wire to the red point, and the green wire to the green point, etc.
2. To install the chip very lightly coat the tip of the wire with solder. Then hold the wire on the soldering location. While the wire is still on the spot touch the wire with your iron.  It should attach instantly and your connection is done.
3. After you have soldered all the points, check all your connections and make sure no bare wire touches any other points. No solder should be on any other points besides the soldering locations in the diagram.
   
4. You can just leave the mod chip sit there or you can tape it down
5. Reconnect everything else you took off or disconnected before installing the chip
6. Reassemble your Playstation and make sure the mod chip and wires do not get caught
7. As long as you've followed the instructions carefully, you will have no problems.
